The CIRCOR Aerospace Products (CAP) Group is headquartered in Corona, CA and is comprised of four businesses that are leaders in the design, development and manufacture of aircraft components and sub-systems, including landing gear, fluid controls and high performance switches.
 
These businesses include Aerodyne Controls in Ronkonkoma, New York; Circor Aerospace, Inc. in Corona, California; Motor Technology in Dayton, Ohio and Industria in Paris, France.

JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE
 
The Sales coordinator will report to the site General Manager, inclusive of administrative and clerical duties for the other departments. Will work closely within sales and site engineering to support sell of Motor Technology products or services by applying technology based solutions to address customer needs. Will provide support to accounting A/R and A/P functions as well as supporting human resources functions.
 
 
Reporting Structure and Key Relationships
 
The Sales Coordinator primarily interfaces with customers, site general manager, site engineering, site controller, human resources, site production and shipping, and CAP business development personnel.

  • Key Internal Partners: Sales, Engineering, Accounting & Human Resources
 
  • Customers:    External customers include military and commercial aerospace airframe OEM manufacturers, system and sub-system integrators.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
 
·         Provides liaison between the customer and the departments within Motor Technology.
 
·         Data entry for all orders; this information is used by all departments. Any special requirements such as test data and/or special process that an order requires is given to the departments by written instructions
 
·         Prepare proposals and Government bids including engineering requirements, purchasing terms and conditions, quality systems requirements.
 
·         Confer with all departments about customer issues, potential business, delivery issues and pricing.
 
·         Handles preliminary communications with customers requiring application assistance. Coordinates with other MTI departments to resolve any customer issues.
 
·         Prepare correspondence regarding quotes, orders, and information relating to sales and engineering decisions.
 
·         Communicates with existing MTI customer base to strengthen customer relationships, investigates and address any customer concerns and explore potential for new applications and future business.
 
·         Communicates with new prospective customers to demonstrate MTI capabilities and products. 
 
·         Reviews customer documents and works with site functional teams to develop and prepare cost estimates or projected increases in production from client's use of proposed equipment or services.
 
·         Works with the site general manager and CAP business development team to draw up sales or service contract for products or services.
 
·         Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in field and within CAP group.
 
·         Confers with workers in other departments, such as production and engineering, to provide technical information.
 
·        Works with CAP business development team to assist with/or coordinate presale demonstrations and trade show exhibitions including procurement of equipment, set-up, demonstration, and discussion with potential customers.
 
·         Works with other MTI departments (i.e. Engineering, Prototype, R & D) to explore and develop necessary technologies, processes, etc. to accommodate new product niches.
 
·         Works with Controller to provide A/R, A/P support.
 
·         Works with Human Resources to provide general office and admin support.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES
 
Education:
 
Experience: 2+ years applicable experience in customer service and general administrative duties.
 
Core Competencies:
 
  • Must have strong writing, presentation, planning, problem solving and organizational, project management and decision-making skills.
 
  • Experience with ERP programs (Syteline, MAS90, or equivalent).
 
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
 
  • Working knowledge of Government contract process.
 
  • Working knowledge of aerospace industry and OEM manufacturing process.
 
  • Some understanding of electro-mechanical devices such as motors and motor operated valves would be advantageous.
 
  • Must have effective communication, interpersonal and team building skills and able to manage multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment.

·        Physical and Environmental Requirements: Typical work may require light lifting (less than 25 lbs). Work environment includes front-office and manufacturing.
