CIRCOR Aerospace/Aerodyne Controls hardware is utilized in nearly all commercial and military aircraft, commercial and military helicopters, business jets, space launch vehicles, including the US Space Shuttle, commercial and military ships and submarines, missiles and munitions as well as numerous industrial and high technology medical applications.
 
Summary:  Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies pneumatic components. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

·         Performs regular mechanical assembly and testing which typically requires fitting, aligning or adjusting of components and/or assemblies to close tolerances.
·         Work requires a high semi-skilled level using a variety of hand tools, fixtures, and simple machines.
·         Must be able to work from detailed assembly blueprints, procedures and/or verbal and written instructions with some supervision.
·         Requires knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and some soldering experience.
·         Must have knowledge of these functional parameters to perform simple troubleshooting, tear down analysis and rework operations.
·         Basic knowledge working with commercial, military standards, and aerospace requirements helpful.
·         Maintain an updated and accurate Engineering Notebook.
 
 
Education and/or Experience:
·         High School Diploma or Equivalent + minimum of 3 years industrial experience
·         3-5 years experience in Military/Aerospace background helpful.
                                               
Special Job Requirements   
·         Basic knowledge and experience working with commercial, military standards, and aerospace requirements.
·         Experience in the use and operation of the following equipment:  Pneumatic Test stands, Pneumatic and/or Hydraulic Booster Pumps, Electrical Equipment (scopes, power supplies), Electric and/or Pneumatic Hand Tools, Soldering Equipment.
·         Must be self motivated and able to perform related duties as assigned.      
·         Must adhere to all safety regulations including wearing of safety glasses in designated work areas.
   
Reasoning Ability
·         Must have basic knowledge  of pneumatic procedures and concepts
·         Problem solving skills of routine nature.  Able to make decisions using observation, facts, data and common sense.
 
Physical Demands:   .
·         Manipulative Skills of a high level using a variety of hand tools, fixtures, and simple machines.
·         The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use of hands, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities required included close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to focus.
·         Wearing of latex rubber gloves required for some tasks
