Summary:    
Produces formal quotes of valve prices, negotiates contracts, prepares orders to be entered, and holds initial project review on all project orders processed to customers worldwide on a daily basis.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Bilingual English/Spanish must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing.
·  Receives faxed, emailed, or verbal quotation request and reviews, determines specifications involved, determines price formula, and formalizes quote.
·   Produces documentation from inquiry request.
·   Negotiates terms, conditions and offered pricing with customers.
·   Submits quote request to vendors for product applications.
·   Tracks progress of complete quotations.
·   Sends quotes to variety of distributors and company sales representatives.
·   Completes daily log of quotations, both in-coming and out-going.
·   Maintains quotation files.
·   Researches customer price comparisons.
·   Expedites orders when need arises from a customer demand.
·   Facilitates pipeline orders from the quotation stage to order shipment -- essentially performing the duties of Pipe Line Manager.
 
Education and/or Experience:
 
High school diploma or GED; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.     Prior experience in the valve industry of producing quotations and/or valve building is preferred.
 
Other Qualifications:
 
·   Ability to work under stress, to be aggressive, flexible, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,
  commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
·   Must have industry-related knowledge and be customer service oriented.
·   Able to communicate both orally and written.
-  Must have immediate knowledge of Windows, Access, and Excel - all at an intermediate level.
 
·   Must know and understand material compatibility with chemicals and services.
·   Ability to be thorough in the preparation of extensive Bid Documents for large projects.
