Job Summary

A Team Leader who coordinates and adheres to manufacturing goals while supervising and developing operators. Individual must ensure safety, quality, and efficiency by adherence to all environmental programs and quality systems.

Location: Spartanburg, SC Shift: 2^nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm)

Responsibilities

· Ensure the safety, quality, efficiencies, and development of operators

· Hold daily start-up meeting with team and manage daily OT requirements

· Manage uptime, changeover, and adherence to cycle time

· Lead and coordinate any Lean initiatives

· Perform daily Gemba Walk

· Monitor and manage Heijunka Boards, Action Boards, Graveyard, and Plant metrics; initiate any corrective actions

· Work in conjunction with the Value Stream Manager and HR to recommend discipline to operators as required

· Audit TPM process

· Drive work orders to completion

· Perform any additional duties as required

Requirements

Associate's degree preferred
3 years experience leading hourly associates in a manufacturing environment
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Must demonstrate exemplary performance in safety, attitude, dependability, and ability
Must display initiative and creativity in problem solving
Must be able to promote continuous improvement in products, services, and processes
Must be able to demonstrate strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Preferred

Industrial knowledge (manufacturing environment)
Experience with Lean Manufacturing
